Trenitalia was surprised to discover a worker who doubled as a train cleaner by day and graffiti artist by night. The employee was found last December by Trenitalia corporate protection personnel, near the Pisa Centrale station.
Accompanied by three other artists, the vandals were found armed with aerosol spray cans. Further investigation conducted by the carabinieri revealed the worker’s contradicting identities: graffiti artist at night, employee for a train cleaning company during the day. Trenitalia has immediately contacted the train cleaning company regarding the behavior of its employee, and demanded his exclusion from cleaning trains. Further, regional management of Trenitalia has filed a complaint with local authorities including a claim for compensation.
