Those with eclectic palates look no further. For the first time, the Streeat Food Truck Festival is coming to Prato the weekend of November 3. The cuisine ranges from Tuscan Chianina burgers to Mexican burritos to Greek stuffed and breaded olives.
The festival will take place on the Friday from 4 pm to 1 am, Saturday from 11 am to 1 am and Sunday from 11 am to midnight at Piazza Duomo. While there is no admission fee, guests may purchase both European and regional Italian dishes cooked on site.
For seafood, a “Aròst and Frèt food truck” from the Romagna Riviera will be serving calamari and other fried fish.
The ape Chicco Pezzini serves “poff-cakes,” thick pancakes served with chocolate, strawberries and cream for those with a sweet tooth.
A skewer truck from Brescia, “Gnari al spiedo” is serving skewered meat, including ribs and chicken wings.
