According to a recent survey, the most expensive beach club in Italy is Tuscany’s Twiga at Marina di Pietrasanta, where the “Presidential Gazebo,” complete with TV and music, costs €1,000 a day during the month of August.  Twiga’s owner is Flavio Briatore and right wing politician Daniele Santanchè.  The second most costly is Venice’s Hotel Excelsior.

Also in the top ten are Tuscan establishments in Forte dei Marmi (€290 per day) and l’Argentario (€150 daily).  To read more in Italian, visit Florence’s La Repubblica news site.
