This year marks the 32nd edition of the Wine Days – Open Cellars, an initiative organised by the Movimento Turismo del Vino (MTV). The event will see the opening of wine cellars, guided tours of vineyards, workshops, tastings and dinners on Saturday and Sunday, May 25 and 26. Originally established with no-cost admission, prices now typically range from around €20-30, with some locations still offering free visits.
Wine Days – Cantine Aperte offers an opportunity to taste the following wines: Brunello Di Montalcino (DOCG), Chianti (DOCG), Chianti Classico (DOCG), Chianti Superiore (DOCG), Rosso di Montepulciano (DOC), Vin Santo del Chianti (DOC), Vino Nobile di Montepulciano (DOCG)
The event will be taking place across Italy and below is a list of locations in and around the Florence area. MTV hopes that this event will provide an opportunity for wine enthusiasts to get together and discover the landscapes, tastes and production processes of wines in various regions. With a wide range of events on offer, you can be sure that this weekend will provide a unique wine themed experience.
