Tuscan Celebrations for New Year’s Eve to Ring in 2025

 

Free concerts–spanning all music genres–will take place in Tuscany’s major cities on New Year’s Eve, January 31, 2024.

Dance, gospel, pop and rock bands will be playing in the streets and squares of Siena.  The main square, Piazza del Campo, will host the Opera Dance Music Ensemble, which will provide a blend of classical and electronic music designed to appeal to all ages from 10 pm to 1 am.

In Pistoia, entertainment for kids ages 3 and up will be provided at the Funaro Cultural Center from 5 to 10 pm.  The musicians of Banditalia, founded in Pistoia 30 years ago, will give their final performance at Teatro Manzoni (9:30 pm).  The countdown will take place in Piazza del Duomo with a Crazy 90s party, including dancing, capped by the mayor welcoming the New Year at midnight with a mass toast, followed by further festivities until 1 am.

In Prato, live bands will play in via Pugliese and Piazzetta Buonamici while deejay sets will animate Via Settesoldi, Corso Mazzoni, Via S. Trinita and Piazza del Comune.

The city of Lucca invites all comers to a deejay set in Piazza Santa Maria at 10:30 pm with a segue of live music performed by Radio Italia Party unti midnight and a deejay ’90s-2000 dance set afterwards.

The famous and well-loved Italian group Elio e le Storie Tese will be on stage at piazza dei Cavalieri, Pisa, interpreting all their greatest hits to allow the public to sing along and dance, capped off by fireworks.  After midnight, festivities will continue with a ’90s deejay set.

Live music and fireworks until 3 am will be the way the New Year will be ushered in at Massa Carrara.

Deejay sets with music from the ’70s to the present will be performed against a backdrop of the Tyrrhenian Sea in Livorno from 10 pm to 2:30 pm.

New Year Eve celebrations in Grosseto will be held in piazza Dante from 10 pm to 2 am, with emcee Gaetano Gennai who will introduced a wide variety of music.
