Pet sitters are no longer needed for the hot summer days ever since a dog beach opened in Carrara. Located between the mouth of the Parmignola and the Fossa Maestra, the first dog beach in Carrara, “Bau Beach,” has just been inaugurated in time for the summer season.
Along with two other free dog beaches in Viareggio and others at Marina di Bibbona and Cecina, the new one in Carrara is the perfect place for owners and their dogs to cool off.
The water has continuously been tested over the years and have always yielded positive results. The beach area, however, was not in a condition to accommodate sunbathers until now. The City has cleaned up the beachfront in order to make this stretch an official beach and decided to dedicate it to dogs and their owners. (sierra case)
