Around Tuscany there will be a series of concerts performed with the very instruments used by Maestro Giacomo Puccini, from Saturday 27 September to Sunday 26 October. Each concert offers free admission.
Organised by the Toscana Classica association with the support of the Ministry of Culture to celebrate the famed composer and Tuscan native Puccini (1858 – 1924), this concert series is set in the very churches of Lucca where he first played. Several of the instruments used in these concerts have Puccini’s signature still written on them.
The highlight is ‘Symphonic Homage to Coldplay,’ a special event aimed at engaging younger audiences with orchestral music, through hearing Coldplay’s beloved hits played by an orchestra.
The final performance features exclusively Puccini compositions.
