Tuscany’s Astrazeneca Vaccine Open Days Through June 6

Waiting for a vaccination at one of Tuscany’s hubs

A total of 19,000 Astrazeneca vaccines will become available without the usual online reservation to Tuscan residents age 40 and older starting May 25.  Those interested born after 1980 should go directly to vaccination hubs with their identity and health cards (cartà d’identità and tessera sanitaria), where each will fill out the necessary documents and receive the anti-Covid shot.

The region is divided into three health districts (ASL) with differing availability.  Below is the list of the vaccination hubs adhering to the Astrazeneca Open Days and the dates that the vaccine will be administered.

May 25 – 30: ASL Toscana Centro (central Tuscany) at Florence’s Mandela Forum, Bagno a Ripoli-Grassina, Dicomano, Pistoia, Fuccechio, Calenzano, Empoli and Montecatini.

May 26: ASL Toscana Nord Ovest (northwest Tuscany) at Carrara, Lucca, Pontedera and Rosignano.

May 26, 28 & 30, June 2, 4 and 6: ASL Toscana Sud Est (southeast Tuscany) at Arezzo, Bibbiena, Cortona, Sansepolcro, Grosseto, Follonica, Siena and Poggibonsi. (rosanna cirigliano)
