Coming around the last bend on the track in Piazza del Campo, jockey Jonathan Bartoletti (know as “Scompiglio”) on “Precious Penelope”–bareback as tradition dictates–overtook Giovanni Atzeni (known as “Tittia”) riding Quadrivia for Nicchio to win the June 2 Siena Palio for Lupa.
