It will be difficult to travel by train in Tuscany from 9 pm Thursday, September 29 , when trains will stop running, to midnight on Friday, September 30 due to a strike called by union members.
Service is only guaranteed for commuters between 6 and 9 am and again from 6 to 9 pm. In between, a train will run only every two hours on the Firenze – Pisa, Pisa – Grosseto, Firenze – Valdarno – Arezzo, Firenze – Borgo San Lorenzo, Pisa – La Spezia, Firenze – Pistoia – Viareggio e Empoli – Siena lines.
