The Walking Association (Associazione dei Camminanti) offers a four day Easter Festival with a program of 70 activities in Apennine hill towns close to the Tuscan coast: Vicopisano, Lucca, Altopascio, Fucecchio, Pontedera, Pisa and Livorno.

The mission of the organization is to allow people to enjoy the delights of the beautiful landscape together. A perfect getaway for the long weekend, the festival highlights the importance of harmony, well-being and a slower life style.

Participants will be introduced to the southern Monte Pisano range while hiking in the Tuscan countryside in small groups. Secret gardens, olive trees and the sounds of the forests: nature is waiting for visitors in the vivid colors of its spring costume. The Association offers a unique experience where one can end a day with an open-air concert or welcome the first warm breezes of spring at a lunch outdoors among friends in an unspoilt environment.

The festival offers programs that make excursions fun and memorable for the whole family. Nature-themed games, explorations and workshops are organized for kids to make them become more familiar with nature. Infants are welcome too: volunteers are trained to give baby massages and other relaxing exercises for little ones, and easy excursions are organized for children and parents.

The Easter weekend (March 26-27-28) is dedicated to arts and crafts at Vicopisano which, along with street food, are included in a farmers’ market held in the main square.

Volunteers at each of the towns welcome the hikers and direct them to relaxing and inspiring activities: performances, yoga, New Age philosophy discussions and movie screenings.
