Certaldo Chocolate Festival

Certaldo Chocolate FestivalThirteen chocolate artisans from all over Italy — including the national chocolate capitals Turin and Perugia — will display and sell their creations in stands set up below the medieval town of Certaldo, along Via 2 Giugno in the neighborhood known as “Basso.”  The festival will be held Saturday and Sunday, November 14 – 15 from 9 am to  7 pm.

Free samples will be given to visitors, which range from dark chocolate with and without the zing of spicy red pepper to white chocolate with almond centers, to chocolate treats coated in coconut and chocolate-covered fruit and cocktails.

There will be workshops for children on Saturday from 4 to 5 pm and on Sunday starting at 3 pm; the latter will be followed by a free cake design class open to all.

A nearby market will feature furniture and household items exhibited by 30 antique dealers, plus all of Certaldo’s shops will be open on Sunday as well as Saturday.
